Dean’s Discovery Report

The Dean’s Discovery Report was published twice a year from 2004 to 2014, chronicling the transformation of the research environment in the School of Medicine. Through philanthropy, alumni and friends support the school’s research endeavor in ways that traditional funding sources do not.

 

Dean’s Quarterly Report

The Dean’s Quarterly Report is published four times a year and provides the latest faculty honors and hires in the School of Medicine.

 

Discover Medicine – Web stories

"Discover Medicine" stories highlight the ways the VCU School of Medicine works to achieve its mission statement. We want to share the school’s accomplishments in the areas of basic science, clinical and translational (bench-to-bedside) research, medical, graduate and graduate medical education, patient care and community outreach. Departments with mission-related stories to tell should contact the Web Development Team at somweb@vcuhealth.org. We will provide writers, editors and photographers. Departments only need to work with our team and provide background information and interviews with key content providers for proposed stories.

Every day, a new discovery – Blog

The "Every day, a new discovery" blog features stories that celebrate the VCU School of Medicine’s biomedical advances, clinical breakthroughs, student achievements, faculty honors, grand awards, major gifts and other significant events. Use the "Share your discovery" form to submit discovery suggestions for the blog.

 

Gifts at Work

The Development Office’s published an annual donor report and newsletter "Gifts at Work" from 2004 to 2013, featuring stories of how philanthropic gifts make a difference for the medical school’s students, faculty and programs.

SOM Profiles – Web stories

SOM Profiles promote a sense of community by profiling different members of the VCU School of Medicine. This is the perfect opportunity for you to honor individuals or groups in your department who have made significant contributions to the SOM and its community. We also hope to recognize the people who work behind the scenes in the SOM and its affiliate organizations. If you would like to recommend an individual or group for a profile, please contact the Web Development Team at somweb@vcuhealth.org.

 

Women in Science, Dentistry and Medicine Newsletter

The WISDM newsletter is published 2-3 times annually by the Women in Science, Dentistry and Medicine Faculty Organization at the VCU School of Medicine, in order to expand communication on issues affecting university women in these professions.
