Personal bio: I was raised with three older siblings in Caledonia, Illinois on a six acre parcel surrounded by corn fields and small trees. I escaped the Midwest for the Pacific Northwest lifestyle when I moved to Bellingham, Washington for college at Western Washington University. However, my restless personality needed another change of scenery and so I ventured into unknown territory called the East Coast. While in Richmond, Virginia I worked in research for two years before starting my graduate studies. I spend my free time exploring Richmond’s amazing restaurant scene and taking spontaneous road trips with my husband.
