Other Programs
Medical Scientist Training Program
Interested in both medicine and research? Consider applying to our dual M.D.-Ph.D. program, with integrated curriculum that blends medical school with research in basic or social science or biomedical engineering, under the direction of a faculty mentor. Students earn both an M.D. and a Ph.D. in an average of eight years.
Premedical Graduate Health Sciences Certificate
This one-year, graduate-level program, known as CERT, is designed for students seeking to enhance their qualifications and improve overall competitiveness for admission into medical school. Students who successfully complete the program may be eligible for a guaranteed interview at VCU School of Medicine.
Interview Process
Designed to assess skills that cannot be measured through academic transcripts or exam scores, we use the Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) method. Currently, our interview season is August – March and all interviews are conducted via Zoom.
