Join us for the hooding of the VCU School of Medicine M.D. and M.D.-Ph.D. graduates. Tickets are not required, and we encourage friends, family, faculty and staff to attend in celebration of our students and their accomplishments.

White Coat Ceremony
On Aug. 5, 2022, the Class of 2026 took up the mantle of the medical profession during the annual White Coat Ceremony, which is a rite of passage for first-year medical students that emphasizes the importance of compassionate patient care from the very start of training. In addition to reciting the Oath of Geneva, the students came forward to be “cloaked” in the iconic white coat that signifies their status as physicians.
