The winter 2019 issue of Scarab, VCU Alumni’s magazine, spotlights nearly 200 accomplished alumni from both the MCV and Monroe Park Campuses, with a notable 58 alumni representing the School of Medicine.
“The issue is a remarkable testament to the influence of our medical school’s alumni,” says Dean of Medicine Peter F. Buckley, M.D. “One of the great pleasures of being dean of this school is learning about the roles our alumni and former trainees play in advancing public health, patient care and the biomedical sciences. Reading through the pages of this issue brings that to life.”
In The Power Issue, the magazine features alumni from the school’s M.D. program as well as from its basic sciences training programs and residency programs. The magazine’s cover story showcases 11 categories including Innovation and Entrepreneurs; Science, Technology and Research; and Health Care.
