Winter Week of Wellness
Faculty, staff, trainees and students are invited to participate in discussions, workshops and other events during this five-day celebration of wellness starting on Monday, Feb. 26.
Beginning on Monday, Feb. 26, the School of Medicine’s first Winter Week of Wellness will offer than a dozen sessions for faculty, staff, trainees and students highlighting a broad range of topics related to physical and mental wellness. The five-day celebration of wellness is a collaboration between the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Strength in Caring Grant Team, the Wellness in Action Taskforce, MCV Physicians, VCU Health and VCU School of Medicine.
In-person and virtual events throughout the week include a creative writing workshop, meditation sessions, EPIC tips, a visit with Dogs on Call and an exploration of laughter techniques for health and well-being. The week will culminate Friday evening with a celebratory reception and raffle drawing on the third floor of the MMEC building.

Pathways Through the Walkways and Over the Bridges
We encourage you to take a walk, on your own or with colleagues, through the halls, stairwells, walkways or outdoors, as an opportunity to reset and get your steps in. At the end of the day, submit your number of steps for the day to officeofwellness@vcuhealth.org to be entered into the raffle, which will be draw at the reception on Friday.
Walk to Wellness
The new VCU Health employee health and wellness space on Nelson 1st floor will be greeting people, sharing their wellness challenges and checking blood pressures all day.
