Milestone moment
On Friday, May 11, the medical school hosted ceremonies for the M.D. graduating students as well as its other advanced degree graduates. The Convocation and Hooding Ceremony celebrated the success of the Class of 2018 and also marked the 180th anniversary of the school's founding and the 100th anniversary of when women were first enrolled in the medical school.
This year's keynote speaker was infectious disease specialist Claire Pomeroy, M.D. president of the Lasker Foundation.

Advanced Degree Recognition Ceremony
The graduating class also heard from Class President Trammell Cox, M'18, and Dean of Medicine Peter Buckley, M.D. Graduation weekend also marked the conclusion of training for students with advanced degrees, including 38 who earned doctoral degrees, 54 who earned master's and 74 certificate graduates.
