On Friday, March 15, our graduating medical students learned where they’re heading this summer to begin residency training in their chosen specialties.
Please note: Additional photos, an event recap, and the match list will be shared early the week of March 18, so please check back!
Follow along on Instagram (@vcuschoolofmedicine) as we celebrate the Class of 2024 and Match Day!
Prior to the Supplemental Offer and Acceptance Program (SOAP), 91% of VCU School of Medicine’s participating students matched into a PGY-1 position. After SOAP, and including early matches, the Class of 2024’s overall placement rate is 99%.
Demonstrating a commitment to serving our community, 59 of our students will remain in Virginia for all or part of their residencies, and 36 of those matched into VCU programs.
